Below we have a couple of themes for you to build around, while we are trying to give as much information and guidance as possible we are more than happy for you to present your own ideas, derivations or new designs.

Conduits

Conduits are standarised interfaces to interact with Maker liquidity through the subDAOs.

For the hackathon

• The most important thing is to inherit the [**IAllocatorConduit**](<https://github.com/makerdao/dss-conduits/blob/master/src/interfaces/IArrangerConduit.sol>) interface
• Deploy your own standard ERC-20 token to use in place of DAI
• Think about using conduits to connect to existing protocols (Balancer, Compound, Aave…) or new any new project!
• It’s not necessary to enforce the permissions (**Roles**)
• You don’t need to connect the conduit to the Vault Allocation System (**Registry**, **Buffer**), you can simply call the functions from an EOA for demo purposes
